Double Driver

Run 2 driver apps at once, on one screen

What is Double Driver?

Driving for more than one platform? Double Driver puts two of your driver apps on the same screen, so you can watch for requests and navigate without switching back and forth.

It is built for rideshare and delivery drivers, but works with any two apps.

Get started in 3 steps

  1. Turn on accessibility. Open Double Driver, tap “Open accessibility settings”, read the explanation and tap “Agree”, then switch Double Driver on.
  2. Choose 2 apps. Pick the app for the top half and the app for the bottom half (on a tablet or foldable they can sit side by side).
  3. Tap Start. Both apps open in split screen, with the divider where you last left it.

Floating buttons

Why does the app need Accessibility?

Android only lets an app open split screen and move the divider through the Accessibility API. Double Driver uses it only to:

It does not read, store or send your screen content, messages or personal data. Everything stays on your phone.

Frequently asked questions

Split screen does not open / “Phone is too hot”.

Some phones (often Samsung) block split screen when the battery is hot. Unplug the charger, let the phone cool down, then try again.

The floating buttons disappeared.

Open Double Driver and tap Start again.

The app is not listed when I choose an app.

Make sure the app is installed and can be opened normally. Not every app supports split screen.

Does it cost anything?

No. The app is free and shows one small banner ad at the bottom of the main screen.

Is it affiliated with Uber, Lyft, DoorDash or any other company?

No. Double Driver is independent and not affiliated with any rideshare or delivery company.

Safety

Only use your phone while driving where the law allows it, and keep your eyes on the road.
